Teaching and development career began in 1981 as Faculty member of BARD, Comilla as trainer, later it has been extended to various dimensions, such as preaching and teaching to Development Activists ranging from illiterate villager, LG leader, NGO worker and grass root level beneficiaries to high level development professionals from home and abroad. As regards Academic teaching in Under Graduate and Post Graduate classes, supervision and guidance to M. Phil and Ph. D research from Bangladesh, India (Kolkata University), and the UK (University of Wales, Swansea) began from 1987. Teaching area covers Theories of Public Administration and Management, Development Administration, Constitutional and administrative law, Governance and reform agenda, Field Administration, local government, Public Policy, Poverty and rural development, Personnel Administration. and Career Advice.
As Policy Planner, Researcher, Consultant and Activist most of the contributions were made in the broader field of local governance and local government (Urban and Rural) including functional, legal and reform issues. Social and institutional aspects LGIs, Institutionalisation of community participation, poverty alleviation, grassroots level groups, oganizing NGO activities, coordination of GO and NGO activities, capacity development of public sector agencies designing and implementing community level projects are evident from my work experiences and publication list.
